(Q) How do I register?

Registration is simple and only takes a matter minutes. To start the signup process, click on the “register” link at the top of this page. Only users with the age over 18 years are able to register.
The next step is to fill in all your information, failure to supply all the required information will result in an error.
By clicking on the “Register” button from the bottom of the page, you will be sent a validation email. Once you receive this email, click on the link and your account will be activated. |

Possible reasons could be that your email address was entered incorrectly or was not valid or misspelled.
If you are an AOL user please read the following:
As an AOL user, then the chances are that a lot of your Adult related emails never get through to you, due to AOLs Advanced spam filter. This also means that if you have registered with us, you will probably not get your email verification because it gets deleted by AOL before it gets to you.
So how do you stop this?
1. In the SAFETY menu click on SPAM CONTROLS
2. Only the two items below should be ticked:
........................................Allow email from all senders
........................................Delivered to the spam folder
That’s it, you should now receive all emails from us.
MSN, Hotmail, Yahoo, and most other free emails
If you use any of these email providers,before you sign up to Flogshop.com, please check your spam/junk settings, or any filters you have in place that could possibly stop you receiving your verification from us are set to accept mail from admin@flogshop.com
Once you have signed up, you will receive an email in under 2-3 minutes from us, if you don’t, then check Junk folders or spam to see if its there.

How to sell

How do I sell something
|
|
Once you have signed up for an account, you will be able to sell items through the site.
In order to do that, you will have to click on the “Sell” link, and you will be redirected to a page, you can then select the main category of the product or service you want to sell. This feature has been made in order to ease the subcategory choosing process. No items can be sold by choosing only the main category; you will have to choose a subcategory for it.
The second step is entering the advert details, settings, payment methods available, and choosing a category. All images are free of charge.
On the Advert Settings tab, you can choose the type of the advert, the start price, whether to activate buy now or set a reserve price.
You will also be able to choose whether to feature the item, and the duration of the advert.
After setting the location, shipping and payment and subcategory, and by clicking on the “Next Step” button, you will be redirected to Step Three, where you can review the advert before submitting. If everything is in order, you can click on the “Submit” button, and will be redirected to the payment page, or a confirmation page, if no fees have to be paid. The advert is activated instantly. |

(A) You must first be a registered member. Once you have registered simply login to your account and click on the "Sell" link. The first thing to do is select a general category for your item, note that you can choose a more specific category further into the listing process. You can then enter in your chosen settings and item description |

How do I buy?
|

If you have spotted on item you would like to buy you can do so quickly and easily by following these steps:-
(1) Login to your account – If you have not registered you can do so within 5 minutes (2) Visit the advert page (3) Click on the “buy now” button
Buy out prices are set by the seller, if you agree with that price, you can click on the “Buy out” button which is displayed on the advert details page. After clicking on the button you will be re-directed to a confirmation page. On a standard advert that advert will end instantly as the item has been sold via Buy it now. On a Dutch advert, you can enter the amount of items you wish to buy (depending the quantity available). If you purchase less than there are available in total, the advert will remain open with the number of items left available after you have purchased the amount you want. |

Photo Upload

How do I upload photos to my adverts
|

When placing your advert you will be asked to upload a photo or photos. Uploading images to your advert is free. Simply click on browse, find the photo you wish to use and we host them for you.
If you cannot see your photo in your advert preview your photos are probably too large. You will need to resize your photo for upload so that the max size is 100KB, if not they will probably not upload. If you have difficulty - email us and we'll help out. |

We do not allow links to external websites in your auctions. (We do however allow links to your Flogshop store and external links in order to provide extra useful information on the item for sale.) We have found, from experience, that some members abused this option and were using this facility simply to drive traffic to their own personal site, thereby reducing the number of buyers for your items.
If we find a direct link in an auction that has no relation to the individual item for sale- we will remove it. If this happens repeatedly, the member runs the risk of suspension.
Flogshop has plenty of opportunity for site progression - please speak to admin regarding advertising options. |

What is in my members area
|

Members Area. Once you have successfully logged in using the login forms from the main page or from the login page (click on the login button from the page header), you will be redirected to the members area page.
This page is divided into four tabs:
a. Buying.
On this page, you will be able to see the items you are currently buying, as well as the status of the purchases, items you have bought, and watched items. By clicking on the Advert Watch link, you will be able to add keywords for adverts you are interested in. An email will be sent to your email address every time an advert that will contain the keyword in its name or description will be submitted. By clicking on the View Details link from the purchased Items area, you will be able to see the details of the seller, and make contact with him in order to perfect the sale.
b. Selling.
There are three areas available on this page. The My Opened Adverts area, where you will see details of adverts you currently has open; if no bids have been submitted yet on an open advert, you are able to edit the advert. The My Closed Adverts area, where you will see the adverts submitted by yourself, and that were closed. You can choose to edit, delete or re-list a closed advert. On the Sold Items area, you will see the items you have sold, and by clicking on the view Details link, you will be redirected to a page where you will see the details of the buyer. If an end of advert fee is set from the admin area, then the seller will have to pay for the end of advert fee in order for you to see the buyer details. If, after the seller has contacted the buyer, and no sale has been made, you can claim back the end of advert fee. By clicking on the Claim back end of advert fee¯, a claim back request will be sent to the site administrator, and will be evaluated for fee refunding.
c. Feedback
From this page, you will be able to see the feedbacks you have received, and leave feedbacks to other users.
d. Personal Info
You can edit your personal information using this page, except for your username. You can also change the password for the account. If the password and confirm password fields are left empty, and then the password will remain the same. |

Can I watch an advert

The item watch features lets you keep a close eye on any advert without having to purchase it. This feature means you can be kept up to date on how an advert is doing and prepares you to place a last minute offer. You can watch any advert by clicking on the “Watch this item” link on any advert page. |

Can I see if anyone is watching my advert

Yes. In your members area with the details of items you have for sale there is a feature called 'watchers'. The number below is the number of people who are watching your advert |

Please contact us after 3 days of your advert finish if your winning buyer hasn’t contacted you, giving us the advert details and number.
We will then contact them on your behalf, warning them that if payment is not received by you within 3 days, then their account could be suspended or even terminated from the site, email and IP blocked.
We feel that a total of 6 days is by far enough time for payment to be made. We take this very seriously,and will act accordingly.
In order to have your end of advert fees refunded you will need to leave negative feedback for the buyer. And claim your refund no more than 30 days after the end of advert.
If your advert was won by a buyer with previous non-payment negative feedback in the last 6 months, we reserve the right to refund fees. Sellers please state in your auctions that should buyers have negs. In last 6 months then they need to contact you before buying otherwise you will not accept their purchase.
BUYERS PLEASE CHECK WITH THE SELLER THAT YOUR PREFERRED FORM OF PAYMENT IS ACCEPTED BY THE SELLER BEFORE BIDDING – RESULTING NON-PAYMENTS FOR WHATEVER REASON WILL RUN THE RISK OF NEGATIVE FEEDBACK FOR YOU.

Feedback/reputation

How do I leave feedback/reputation
|

Once a sale has been processed, both the seller and the buyer will be able to leave feedbacks/reputation for each other. The feedback/reputation rating is from one tick to five ticks, and a comment can also be left. The feedback/reputation can be left from the “Feedback/reputation” tab from the Members Area. The feedback can only be left once, and it cannot be edited afterwards.
The site admin will reserve its right to delete malicious or untrue feedbacks. |

Negative feedback/reputation

If you are a buyer and you have an issue with the seller of the item. Please either try and rectify the situation or email us with any problem before leaving negative feedback.
If you are a seller please follow the instructions on non-paying buyers BEFORE leaving negative feedback. Although negative feedback MUST be left before we will refund any advert fees it may be the case that some buyers cannot access the site regularly due to the nature of items for sale and privacy issues. This is why we at admin try to contact the buyer ourselves to help you attain your sale. |

How do I pay Site fees to Flogshop

Invoicing members with basic membership

We will send our invoices out on 1st and 15th of each month. Members have 7 days from these dates in which to pay their outstanding accounts.
Should your account reach its limit of £5.00 during these times you will need to make a payment in order to keep your account from being automatically suspended. If you pay through the Nochex gateway your account will automatically re-set and your auctions will all become live. If you pay through another means, you will need to contact us so we can adjust your account manually. |
